About the event: Managing competition and change in the energy transition
INSEAD’s Global Energy Network brings together leaders from across the alumni community for an engaging and informal exchange on the forces shaping the global energy transition. In a relaxed, conversational setting, we’ll explore industrial competitiveness in a low-carbon world, rising global energy demand, shifting geopolitics and energy security, and financing the transition at scale. Format will be moderated dialogues and panel discussions.

The event will take place at Schjødt Oslo’s beautiful offices, offering stunning views of the Oslo waterfront — an ideal backdrop for both thoughtful discussion and enjoyable networking. Alongside the programme, the event provides an excellent opportunity to reconnect, build new relationships, and enjoy high-quality conversations in a welcoming and informal setting.

Dear IDN colleagues, 
We are delighted to invite you to an INSEAD Directors Network international event that is planned around the upcoming INSEAD Alumni Forum in Oslo. 
The event will take place on Thursday, 14 May and is designed for board directors, chairs and senior leaders who seek to lead responsibly in the age of AI. It will address the themes of navigating AI integration, workforce transformation, and evolving ownership models while safeguarding trust, legitimacy and long-term value creation. 
We will be joined by two experts in the field of AI governance. Eli Moe Helgesen is a Partner at PwC Norway and a member of PwC's global board. Ludo van der Heyden is known to many of you from the IDP and is an experienced board director in addition to his INSEAD role. Their insights will help to frame and guide the peer-to-peer discussions which will follow our usual successful format of small, round-table exchanges among colleagues.

16:30–18:05      Peer-to-peer exchange – two round tables of 45 minutes each,coffee and water will be available

As our venue and other logistics around the Forum requires to make financial commitments to the number of guests beforehand, INSEAD will apply the following refund policy to the Forum registration fees:

• 100% refund until 31 March 2026, inclusive
• 50% refund from 1st to 26 April 2026, inclusive
• No refund possible after 27 April 2026.

The Alumni Forum 2026 will be held at Clarion Hotel The Hub.
