Goodwill Ambassador for Industrialization in Africa, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) 

Yu Helen Hai is dedicated to advancing business as a force for good around the world. Drawing upon her 25 years of experience in FTSE100 companies, she is currently focused on creating and leading social change in Africa. She founded the Made in Africa Initiative, which advises the African government on industrialisation and investment promotion, and co-founded C&H Garments, a Pan-Africa export-oriented garments manufacturer. She also leads the Binance Blockchain Charity Foundation, which uses blockchain for transparent philanthropy and achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Hai’s efforts have earned her much recognition, including the 2015 African Business Icon Award and the UBS Global Visionary award. She received the World Economic Forum’s 2015 Young Global Leader distinction for her work as Co-Chair of its Global Future Council on the Future of Consumption. She holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and a master’s degree in actuarial management from Cass Business School.
