Frans Blom is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Van Lanschot Kempen.
As per January 2020, Frans is Senior Partner Emeritus at Boston Consulting Group.
Since 2018, Frans is also the co-founder and chair of think tank DenkWerk, an independent think tank that focuses on societal topics that require a holistic approach.
Further roles are serving on the advisory committee of VNO-NCW (the Dutch Employer Organization), as chair of the American European Community Association, and as jury member for the Young Captain Association.
Frans joined BCG in 1991 and from 2003 - 2009 he was part of the European Leadership team, responsible for the Client Service agenda across Europe. From 2009 – 2015 he was part of BCG's Worldwide Executive Committee, where he led the commercial and client service agenda. During his more than 29 years of consulting in BCG, Frans worked in many industries and multiple countries. Developing growth strategies, numerous profit-improvement programs, reorganization projects as well as complete transformations.
Before joining BCG, Frans was an officer in the Royal Dutch Marine Corps and worked for three years with Staal Bankiers. Frans holds an MBA from INSEAD, Class of 90'D.
